Once a client signs the LOA and custodian recognition is set up, Opto works directly with custodians to fulfill capital calls, assuming the client has cash to cover the call. Opto notifies custodians of the capital call the same day advisors are notified, with 5 business days to fund. Exact timing of funding is at the custodian’s discretion. If the client does not have enough cash to cover the call, custodians will reach out directly the RIA.
